Investment Philosophy

A plan is a powerful tool. Reaching your long-term financial objectives hinges on having the right plan - one that fits your circumstances and grows with you.  We feel that in order attain your goals, we must share an overall investment philosophy:

n        Put the plan in writing.  You should have your own unique investment policy statement.

n        Increased returns are the goal of developing a long-term plan.  Market timing does not work and long-term investors should stay fully invested unless it is clearly imprudent to do so.

n        Asset allocation has historically been the most effective way to manage risk.  While past performance cannot predict future results, asset allocation should have a positive effect on your portfolio’s returns.

n        You work extremely hard for your money.  You should consider using professional money managers rather than trying to manage the portfolio yourself.

n        Understand your investments.  Never invest in something that does not fit your plan.  Assure yourself that each and every investment in your portfolio has a purpose.
