What is Marketplace Superhero and who’s it for?

Marketplace Superheroes is Stephen’s flagship online training program. They teach people who are complete beginners how to start selling their own branded products across the globe (primarily) on Amazon. People come in with little to no business experience having no idea what to sell. There are millions and millions of products offered on Amazon. How do you know which ones will do well and what to avoid? They span all different kinds of niches. Everything you can think of is being sold on Amazon.

What they do at marketplace superheroes is very different from others in this space. They don’t tell you to go out and sell the most trendy and competitive items. Instead, you’re taught to sell low-competition products that are not trendy. They’re not exciting. We’re talking about the things that cover the feet of a washing machine kind of boring. But you sell the same products in more than one Amazon country at a time. Not just on amazon.com, but all across Europe and in Canada. The lower competition items and selling globally makes Marketplace Superhero very different from other courses out there. Most people do not teach that. However, the biggest element that sets Marketplace Superheroes apart is that their members can plug into their services to make things simpler with Superhero Freight. Check out the episode to hear more about it!

What mindset does a person need to be a successful Marketplace Superhero?

Are there certain qualities that people need to be a marketplace superhero and have a successful online business? Stephen would say yes. He says the biggest quality that he looks for nowadays is an open mind, which is tricky to find sometimes because there’s so much information out there on the internet. It’s very easy to feel like you know what you’re talking about, even if you’ve no practical experience.

So you have to have an open mind to come in, look at how we do things and start looking for products in the way that we teach, rather than coming in with a preconceived idea, which may bring you down a bad path. Then we look for people who understand that a real business involves investing, you have to be prepared to put some money in. It’s anywhere from $800 to $3,000 approximately to launch a product on Amazon.

Can you sell $20,000 from 5 products in 30 days?

Stephen shared something they call the ‘Rule of 5’, it will give you a good indication of how market multiplication works. You have 5 products you sell on Amazon, very basic, simple, boring products. Let’s say you make 5 sales a day and you’re selling in 5 different markets. You’re making an average of $5 net profit before tax. Well, that would be 5 by 5 by 5 by 5, over a 30 day period that’s $18,750 net profit before tax. How is this possible to make $20k from five items? Stephen says the key is that you’re doing a small number of sales but in several countries at the same time. Tell me…did you get your calculator out?

5 products x $5 each x 5 countries x 5 sales a day x 30 days = $18,750 a month in revenue
