Meet Nancy

Nancy Nawn is a Senior Wealth Advisor based in Hauppauge, New York with 32 years of experience in the field.

A Life of Planning, A Career of Impact

Shaped by over two decades of experience in the financial planning industry, helping people make financial decisions that improve their lives has defined my work. I began my journey at large firms where I built a strong foundation as an advisor. In 2018, I started my own Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) practice, specializing in the unique needs of those preparing for retirement.

That solo journey taught me a lot, but I missed the camaraderie and growth that comes from working with smart, empathetic professionals.  When I connected with Larry Sprung and discovered the Mitlin Financial family, I knew I had found my next chapter. Today, I am proud to help the families we serve plan for their ideal tomorrow.

Built to Be a Financial Planner

Some people stumble into financial planning. I was born for it. A problem-solver at heart, I was that kid who loved taking little pieces of cardboard and wood to create a big picture.

I enjoy turning chaos into order and building something meaningful piece by piece. That natural tendency shows up in the work I do, from analyzing complex financial strategies to helping those we serve feel more organized, empowered, and in control of their future.

Markets shift. Tax laws evolve. Live situations change. That’s why I love this work, because it’s never static. Being meticulous allows me to bring greater clarity and value to the planning process.

Always Learning, Always Growing

Education is the backbone of my approach. I hold both a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Rowan University and an MBA in Finance from Saint Joseph’s University. My drive to grow and stay current led me to earn the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Certified Investment Management Analyst®, and Registered Social Security Analyst® designations.

As a lifelong learner, I stay on top of evolving legislation, policy shifts, and planning strategies, especially those that affect retirement income, Social Security, and tax efficiency.

The JOY in Making an Impact

One of the greatest joys in my career is giving back to the profession that has given me so much. At my alma mater, Rowan University, I proudly serve on the Finance Advisory Board, helping shape the path for students pursuing a career in financial planning. I also mentor students each semester, helping them prepare for life beyond university.

To further support the next generation, I established a scholarship for students pursuing a career in financial services. Nurturing future professionals and watching them grow into impactful planners is incredibly fulfilling and a reminder that the impact we make goes far beyond numbers.
